DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2022

The Dutch Grand Prix is back on the calendar after a 36-year long break. In proximity to Amsterdam, the race is held at the storied circuit outside the town of Zandvoort.
Besides its legendary racetrack, the small coastal town on the North Sea is well-known for its beautiful landscapes, including the Zuid-Kennemerland, one of Holland’s 20 national parks.
The first Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix, won by Alberto Ascari in 1952, was the first of the thirty races held there. Back in 1985, when Niki Lauda won, F1 raced there for the final time. With four victories under his belt, Jim Clark was undoubtedly the most successful driver at this track, while Rene Arnoux excelled at starting from the front row, doing so three times.
The town of Zandvoort has significantly changed since then, and it remains a popular tourist destination. As a result, there are multiple attractions in and around Circuit Zandvoort. With popular bars, restaurants, and beach clubs, the foreshore appears to be an ideal place on Grand Prix weekend.
